Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

WFR'd Last day tomorrow

Anyone tell me how things are meant to go? I've had zero communication from my manager or HR since they informed me several weeks ago. No chat about who takes over my workload or anything.

Do I just hand my laptop in and leave at the end of the day and just not return the following day or should there be a more formal exit?

Capture all of your HR data, talent profile, past job titles, pay rates, everything. It will act as a reminder when filling out future applications.

Redeem all of your Inspire points.

The second i got my meeting, I politely answered any message with, "I am no longer participating in conversations about projects or ongoing workflow. Please contact my manager for questions."

Read the messages from WFR operations carefully. Get your important personal data off your machine following the process they share with you. Just go drop your pc off at the dungeon in RR2 and move on from Dell he-l and reinvent yourself. It's much better on the other side,l believe me..

UK based? What’s the package,
2 colleagues said 4 weeks for every year and a % of your bonus?

If there’s an honest answer here it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I hope you took all your vacation time.
Don't turn in anything, wait until they escort you out.

Hmmm, so how long did they tell you in advance of your separation? Usually when they tell you, it's a week before, and your manager tells you to take vacation or pto.

Su-ks, their loss. I doubt you will have to wait until the end of the day unless you work for a REEEEEALY sh---y org. Usually it is up to you when you want to check out.

Yup. Turn in your stuff and leave. Only concern you should have is getting your monies owed and sign all appropriate paperwork.

You should get all the package info from HR. Turn in your laptop and badge. They will give you outplacement services to help you find another job. Best of luck!
