I know there's rarely any real rhyme or reason to layoffs, but I have to ask: is there anyone who can actually feel secure right now? Any team, any role? Or is it just a free-for-all at this point?

You are never safe regardless of position….ask Pat
The only safety in tech is your ability to land your next role. Even companies that are doing comparatively better, Google, Microsoft, have layoffs.

Def met - they are always the safest no matter what
ELT will su-k Intel dry, leaving little to no money for poor engineers. Shitel to go bankrupt soon, bcoz of loss of customer trust.
The C-Suite is always safe. A few million buyout/retirement here and there but none of them are stressed about it.
