Why are we (at least on my team) being delayed in getting our salary merit increase? Why is there a sense of vagueness, or delay from practically everyone, including leadership? There is a whole lot of beating around the bush, and its pretty obvious. "Business as usual" - gimme a break. Can someone give some clarity here (without sounded like a riddle like previous comments) - Ive only been with the company for under 4 years and I know there is a lot of those who got years more invested. So, what's next or to be expected?

Yes it will be taken down to barebones and its intellectual properties amalgamated with other entities. Can see the model being decentralized. There is the value.
The company is struggling. If it wasn’t struggling it probably wouldn’t be sold. Nobody can tell you what will happen but Clearlake. They won’t spend billions of dollars to buy the company without a plan to turn it around or sell off underperforming divisions. Current management may have an idea of what will happen but won’t say anything even if they did. Also, it won’t be their problem anymore so they want to see this deal close.
