With the current administration, why would Schwab follow the herd? You’re already years behind. You’ve fallen into a unique differentiator, a US based company with a US based IT shop. Sure, you can save some money, but the thing that makes you unique has a ton of value. Build off that vs labor arbitrage.

Offshore does not work - many companies tried years ago and brought back what they offshored
Donald is a clueless buffoon. He repeats what the last person told him. Not unlike a few execs here. But we haven't had exclusive onshore IT ever and moving onshore led to failed efforts. A new OKR is to fall further behind however.
Offshore is peddling freshers for free and then train them on our systems and let them loose.
