I see that 80-90% of those affected are older, with many years of service at NetApp. Looks like ageism to me. Also, if you have disabilities that are visible and obvious could be an ADA lawsuit waiting to happen.

NetApp settles. When plaintiffs' lawyers ask for communication records from NetApp leadership in the lawsuit, NetApp policies has been do not provide the data. It's well known that NetApp does not provide communications records in civil labor suits.

Your small severance could be a year or more severance, and retaining your RSU's if you have them. I would speak to a labor lawyer before signing the severance agreement that prevents you from legal actions against them.

I don't know about low performance. But yes, the ones I know of are also under 45.

The ones that I am are of personally are all under 40. Low performers who have not brought much value to their roles.
