How long did it take you before your severance was paid out from the day you got let go?

My severance was 2 days late because of some sort of payroll issue (supposedly). I had good communication with my former manager and she got it resolved quickly.
Mine took about 2 weeks. I have heard some a little quicker and some a little longer.
The key is quickly signing and sending back your severance package and get your equipment returned. They don't start cutting the checks until everything is in order.
