Combining Mechanical

Any points seeing a complete disaster of this choice. Our car manager left. And these locomotive managers have no clue how to process 40 bo's which would normally hover at 10-15.. they don't even know the defects let alone the who what and why to any of it.

I know the car managers that came over to do what our loco manager did they are way out of their league. We are not hammering them with b/s and help them when we can. It's not their fault or ours that this stUPid company did what they did. Hopefully they boot Jimmy shortlegs soon after seeing this bo----g of a idea

Whatever UP decides to do it will ALWAYs be a $HIT Show and nothing good will come out of it.

Good timing with the coming tariff slow down, and car loading drop off. Management will have a slack period to adjust to their new responsibilities.

All mech managers should be thoroughly versed with all mech/elect smr’s.

@cf+1 quick question. Are you suggesting agreement employees “step up and help” managers learn how to do their jobs? Should children “step up” and teach their teachers? UP managers have been by far the biggest problem at UP for over a decade now.
(the falling stock is managements fault)
So let me tell you what one of my previous managers told my work group REPEATEDLY whenever he was asked to teach/show/tell/explain to us how to do something, and I quote

“if I have to show you,
the railroad doesnt need you”

I am not in any way condoning any of what has happened w/ furloughs nor cross craft shenanigans. (Im not in a mech craft) but werent the 2 crafts combined once before? I at least remember there being managers and directors who oversaw both simultaneously, might of been 20-sum years ago.

Looks like its time to step up and help. Youre getting paid a high wage for it. Just imagine if you lost your job- now thats something to complain about. The car gig is easy- Lets look at helping vs being mad. Believe me, its worse on the other side- the side of not having any employment.
