Currently have 3, 1 leaving and not being replaced. 2 level store. Other stores that have just 2, how does that work?? We have 3 Sales Captains. How are departments split between just 2 managers?

EASY! we do it in our store . While few sit on the offices and 2 and sometimes 3 taking smoke breaks only 1 available at the store running like a chiken with her head cut off.. 😊
Baby, I wish we had 2 CXMs. My store has been downsized to 1. So, that's one of each (SM, MBA, CXM, SMM), 3 sales captains (2 of whom are tethered to area specific depts). I think the store manager needs to brainstorm with everyone about how they feel taking on a little more (which I think was Tony's plan all along) just to get the basic functions completed. But dont think this doesn't come with personal sacrifice. So if you're not willing to take on more, maybe its time to update your resume.
We have one sales mgr, one business mgr, one merchandise manager and one store manager. Our business mgr and sales manager have the floor divided up amongst them. Captains stay and ring at register all day. Very rarely use them. The company didn’t think this through
I should have specified that I meant Sales Manager when I said CXC. I probably got the acronym wrong.
Our CXCs are just salespeople, they are scheduled to work in one section the whole shift, truly do not know the purpose of them. They don't have an office or any extra responsibilities. I sure hope they aren't getting paid $20/hr
Yes, Macy's Money is going away. They only time it will be given is for opening credits. There's going to be some other kind of quarterly award of $100. It's one leader and a few colleagues I believe. Can't remember the actual #
That split of duties seems uneven. In my store that would mean one CXC has big ticket, FJ, Beauty and the other has the rest of the store inlcuding Backstage. If that happens I fear thats going to hasten the departure of our most tenured sales manager.

Or you could just be like my store where 2 or 3 people do all the work while people making 20 dollars a hr stand and watch. Yeah that sounds about right.
Our store has 2 CXCs, 3 sales captains, 2 support captains, an SMM and Store Manager.
The selling areas are split between general sales areas and specialized sales which means one CXC has men’s, home, women’s shoes, all RTW and children’s. The other CXC has FJ and Beauty. General sales has 2 captains, AYS has 1 captain.
The AYS team reports to the SMM.
It’s a lot of responsibility for the General Sales CXC but she has developed a great team with her captains being supportive partners aligned with their leader’s expectations.
