@OP is a typical Intel doushbag Engineer who thinks he is superior to others, he never proofreads what he writes before sending it out.
A lot of the reductions will be when products get axed. The whole team will be gone. Performance based impacts will probably be after and those will be ongoing continuously. As somebody else said, those 1:1s aren't anyone else's business.

When you say unexpected, do you mean "Gee, I wasn't expecting to be laid off", or "That's unexpected, our 1:1 is always on Fridays before naptime"?
