Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

i keep thinking about that meeting sometimes and certain facts came to mind

• before LBT became CEO, in Q1 MJH said in all company meeting that no headcount reductions are planned for 2025
• they all had very different vibes in Q2 meeting. they even stopped saying CPM, just said layoffs out loud multiple times
• that was funny to watch!!
• what i didn't understand the most is "investing in offices". didn't y'all over invest?? most american sites are empty big unsustainable buildings from what i know. how is that gonna help the company? i feel like they just wanna look more credible with RTO by saying that, but we all know RTO is announced to make more people leave on their own
• LBT is really going to sell more parts of the company, it's evident. that's his plan. but in what way, shape and form is a big question mark
• i wonder how that would look for DCAI. feels like DCAI would have very long-overdue managerial layoff this time. this is one business unit that really suffers from them levels. but how would they be doing it idk because,
• MJH said there will be CPM packages you can apply for but only the ones approved by your own management this time (that is supposed to be laid off, right? cuz eight levels is too much, right? hello xeon!!) so i feel like we made a big circle here
• yea so i survived the previous layoff and it made literally no tangible impact on my life but i wonder what would happen this time lol

I don't believe OP understands this is not his personal diary.

@OP, do you think about that meeting sometimes or all the time now?

The funny thing is Intellians think surviving Intel layoffs is some great achievement. These cyclical layoffs occurred outside of Intel in the industry every 7 years. Work on improving your skillset in life so you can pivot when needed. There are many tech spaces.
