@bv+1jsprd14x Yea but productivity is not the goal, inducing attrition is the goal.
Remote work productive or not, companies don’t care. Feels so wrong such tactics are used by companies to play with livelihoods of employees .

The counter strategy is to leave. Go get a job that offers remote. If you can't do that then go to the office when asked. But when you go home, don't do any work, no logging in. On the days that you are allowed to WFH, give you highest productivity possible and be super responsive. If everyone did that, just about every knowledge job would be remote.
Well it is the only luxury Intel can afford to retain talent and not be stuck with low performers
Coffee, fruits, banana, jets, aircraft’s, stock incentives , cash bonuses are all gone
@aq+1jsprd14x WFH is a luxury Intel can not afford.
It has come (when business was good) and gone (when business went south) over the years.
@am+1jsprd14x Typical arrogant ignorant incompetent Intel Manager you must be. Not wanting to change, not wanting to listen, not wanting to learn from competitors.
Saying go join NViDIA is epitome of arrogance from Intel Management.
Guess what, many smart ex- Intel employees have done just that , joined NVIDIA made it successful which ultimately spelled doom for Intel.
If have a little bit of common sense you would know top performers are the first to quit with your RTO tactics , paycuts.
Wish you a happy time with RTO tactics , you will be left with low performers to hover on. Can’t wait to see your doom
Sit in a meeting room vs. teams meeting at home while you are working on your real tasks. Combine this with less hours due to commuting and not working evenings and nothing will get done. Yes, they make engineers sit in meetings all day when they have deliverables and are on a timeline/schedule.
@ah+1jsprd14x then by all means leave and go work for nvda.
Intel desperately needs co-located teams and stop all the cross geo, matrixing, and remote working.
If at some point the company is not on the brink of abject failure then it would have the luxury of allowing workers to be less connected.
WFH is not a right and you are not special.
Great, So management gets to control you as and how they please. Fear based management is just so wonderful.
Do you realize employees are grown people that don’t need a supervisor monitoring them constantly.
Regarding the collaboration bullsh-t are we really living is Stone Age where we cannot communicate and collaborate virtually ?
@af+1jsprd14x You must gr one of Ti use management mo--ns that are about to get fired.
You are the reason employees are exploited like this. NVIDIA is fully remote and is creating top notch products. Intel wants to imitate NVIDIA in engineering , product focus but not in management philosophy
Management su-kers are the ones creating this RTO ruckus so they can feel powerful controlling employees and never taking accountability for their pathetic management skills
The best counter strategy is to learn what it means to be a professional and stop being too lazy to even show up for work.
Maybe learn how to properly interact with others, so you don't feel like you have to be a crowd-fearing shut-in.
You know, grow up, or of course you can quit and go degrade some other company.
Yep all the mouth breathers that are too stupid and untrustworthy to work remotely are thrilled they will get direct supervision again. Hopefully it's in crayon so they can actually follow directions.
#1. Go su-k the life out of some other company.
But you aren't. You were fired with ACT.
The counter strategy is to get your a-s back in the office.
Most of us are already here every day, so shut up and nut up.
