Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Next week will be a bloodbath

I’m hearing grumbling from the higher ups that next week is being called D day for IT. Apparently they are going scorched earth, 35% reduction in India and US. Tariffs and AI to blame

Stay safe all, make sure to hold your loved ones, we are in for a few rough weeks

Internal IT is pretty useless anyway.
If it’s anything beyond resetting a password, your going to need to reimage.

Every day is a bloodbath. Am just used to the smell of layoffs in the already toxic and smelly air for over five years.

If IT is scorched, then god help us.
This new growth board setup is ki-ling the delivery time for changes.

Customers are up in arms about delays, management don’t care and these are some decent contracts that are impacted.

Dell is a mess.

They already layed off all the on site IT folks in the Utah office, I guess they're going to do the same in Round Rock now?

Dell doesn’t care about customers. If IT loses more staff, business as usual like other orgs whose teams are mostly gone

I haven’t heard anything from my team yet, and if this does happen, I’m not sure who will handle the customers since we are currently understaffed.
