I remember in the last round of layoffs, Irish employees oversubscribed to the voluntary part of CPM. I suppose they would be waiting in anticipation rather that waiting with anxiety.

Intel is still a marvellous company. It's been on top for about 40 years and even if it's struggling now that won't last forever. Come back in 5 years and the factories will still be running, even if the name has changed. I left last year but I would go back and work for nothing now tbh. What a great place it is, no matter what the comments in these threads say.
Try not to stress too much. The fabs are still more protected than any other part of the business. In addition I expect that there are still very many people who would take any package if offered. That's the case at most Fab or ATM sites, at least IMHO. The number of ISPs will be low. Just keep doing the job, Intel will never ever go out of business completely.
No problem getting the numbers especially when they shut F24, but is there any point in applying only to get refused again!!
I saved my Lily O Brien's Easter Egg for the earnings call. More of the same, I don't expect many, or even any, will have to be pushed out.
Irish Eyes are smiling in anticipation of a better work environment.
"Throughout the restructuring of recent years, the overall Irish headcount at Intel has remained at 4,900. A sign that while the company was laying off workers in some divisions, it was also hiring new staff in other parts of the operation."
