DOJ investigating Landmark

What’s up with the email that was sent to providers about the DOJ investigating Landmark from 2022 to present?

Landmark is the lowest coding division in the Optum division, as far as providers, now for the coders who knows what they do.

Not all LM providers have gotten the email. UHG will just blame Landmark to get out of it since they are pushing the before “acquisition” verbiage. Not surprised we have no more answers to the questions we already have, now add this to the table. The only thing we have gotten is an ICT team meeting on 5/7 which is likely our RIF.

Maybe it was an internal phishing email?

Something about preserving documents. The email was sent by an attorney with optum.

I haven’t seen the email, but DOJ has been looking into Landmark for potential fraud for improper upcoding. Landmark has been on an audit for a long time. What does the email say?
