Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Why ShitTel not hire CEO that can hire more people?

Look like this company only has id--ts that are able to spend millions of dollars to hire a CEO just to lay off more people. Why don't they find someone else that can hire more people or just close the bussiness ? 🤔

Yeah … yeah … that is how ShitTel is operating now. Pat got rid of 15K employees after blah blah blah for 3 years. I thought they will look for and hire a better CEO that might improve the operation so he could blah blah blah for the next 4 or 5 years before getting rid off probably ~10K employees after that. Just the first a few months without blah blah blah much then 20K heads are gone soon. This is f-c king worst, not better. NO WAY better so just shut down the damn thing and go home to watch other companies doing their jobs.

If your business is growing, you tend to hire more.

If your business is shrinking you layoff people.

Intel is overstaffed given current revenues when benchmarked against competitors.

First step is shedding employees.
Growth may come later if AI strategy or IFS bets pay off. Be aware that these are both longshots and you’re gambling your career on these.

OP is kind of an id--t to expect growth overnight.
