ELT on layoffs

Finance chief David Zinsner told CNBC’s Kristina Partsinevelos that the reduction in operating expenses would include job cuts, especially for managers, but that Intel has not yet finalized a number of cuts.
“There is no way around the fact that these critical changes will reduce the size of our workforce,” Tan said in a memo to employees that was published by the company on its website.

That Dave is still around is not a confidence builder for me.

He is way out of his depth and a lot of the excess spending over the past 4 years is something that the right CFO would have stopped or slowed down.

Add to that the unwillingness to put into some metrics the scope of what change is expected is pretty much all on the CFO.

Why is this guy still there? He seems nice but seems way out of his league to be a CFO for Intel. I don’t think he has any vision for future for this company - he is just getting by one quarter at a time and hoping for a miracle.

Sweater Boy Judas strikes again. Moving on from selling out Pastor Pat... he's going to kn--e 20%+ of the workforce. I suspect he'll get a nice huge bonus or restructured pay package my MJ (his 30 pieces of silver).
