Everytime Layoffs are announced before earnings! At this point I think its not about right sizing the company. They are doing it to keep the stock price from falling after the earning call! I mean come on!!! This is the worst company ever! Our headcount is over a 100k!! Nvidia and AMD together have like half of what we have and Nvidia surpasses both Intel and AMD together in growth!!! Intel has a free green card service company masquerading as a tech company. People are always hiring their family members, wives, children, cousins, Nephews. Trying to "UP" their family income. Openly bragging about it while getting very little work done! HR just looks the other way. At this point even a 50% headcount reduction won't help! Too many people on payroll requires too much liquidity that we do not have. Nvidia and AMD doesn't even get the govt subsidies that we get. This company is an utter failure ran by a bunch of MO--NS!!!!!!!

Thank god their uncle/brother helped them joining Intel now they'll get a green card very fast. I can't believe people don't talk about this at all!
True, news are periodically released from social media to bump up stock. This is already at least the 5th time in this year. Without the news, Intel stock would tank further.
The massive layoff will just keep Intel going for one more quarter. After know-how and moral is lost, it does not matter 100k or 60k, it will not build a dedicated clock by randomly putting random sands together.
I don't believe OP expects Lip-Bu to show up on stage waving a chainsaw over his head.
