Hard earned lessons from past cuts have repeatedly shown that the best approach is to get it done quickly.
Maybe ACT was a bit too quick, marching people out the door upon notification, but to not even state a target puts everyone on notice.
Looks like this will end up reinforcing the favoritism which is already rampant at Intel, resulting in more of the same.
