Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

The good news is that as of next Monday 80% will still be employed.

Choose to see the glass as half empty if you wish, but remember that it is also half broken.

@ek+1jsmfhze9 I'm guessing those who are terminated from this round of the Annual Intel Fun event will be in the 'Glass Half Package' camp.

I think those pushed out for being a low performer or having been caught by HR for violating company policy will be in the 'Glass Half Broken' camp, left with no package.

For example, those sleeping in their cars out in the parking lot, those who have been tracked by camera and the RFID in their badges as spending all day away from their work station, and of course those who spend most of their time on social media sites like this one.

You know, the 'Glass Half Slacker' camp.

The good news for the 20% is that they will get a nice package. Then they will and on
their feet somewhere else. And they will be don't with this BS.

Looks like employees are in the 'Glass Half Terminated' camp.

If nothing else, LBT knows how to do cliffhangers.

Looks like LBT is a 'Glass Half Indecisive' kind of CEO.

I did not expect that.

no layoffs announced after earnings. Let's su-k blood out of intel. I will continue enjoying paid vacation. I have been on paid vacation since 2021.

Since the layoffs will be followed by some thousands of new hires, I'm definitely in the 'Glass Half RCG' camp.

@a4+1jsmfhze9 You seem to be in the 'Glass Half Procrastinated' camp.

@a4+1 You are in for a surprise.

LBT and HR have been working this up from Day 1. He even told the company what he was going to do, so what is coming will be much more like what BK did than what Pat did (either time).

They may not walk people out the building but it won't go on and on either.

Thing is, this isn't even the big deal. The big deal comes over the next year or two, as Labs, Fabs, Products and Groups are eliminated or sold off. He also said he was going to do that.

Might be time to start taking him at his word.
