So they are rehiring some employees who were layed off? I thought there was a 2 year wait?
The very sad thing is - it’s not the employees fault that SAP over hired or changed strategy to hire only in low cost countries or offer generous RSUs. Yet, the employees pay the price of the executive decision making. If the CEO and CFO took just half of their salary and were content with the enormous amounts they have accumulated with stock options - no one would lose their jobs. They could reduce HC by offering exit packages that weren’t windfalls but were available any time for all employees who want to transition out. There’s such a better way of handling this but alas, it takes integrity and some sincere concern for the welfare of human beings, who are your employees.
I found this article to be more interesting. I'm going to celebrate this and see if I can help get any additional information to them.

What's the joke here?
I’m not shocked or even surprised by this! The executive board has been arrogantly bumbling and fumbling everything that they touch for a while.
Now they want to be pseudo - tough, by copying every other tech company by treating employees as a cost item on a ledger. That’s not enough for them though. They feel the need to reset the employer / employee relationship, They are sneeringly dismissive and nasty, they condescend and obfuscate at every turn.
The CEO, CFO, and whatever Gina’s title is today, are cold, miscalculating as--s. We have layoffs, lies, stack ranking and now the we-ponization of “Learnings Services” with ill-conceived and poorly - executed certification modules that induce high - levels of stress for a large number of us.
Wait until the next set of layoffs, where they’ll deem every victim to be a poor performers, and then advertise it to the world, making it even harder for the terminated employees to find ne employment. Layoffs, not firings because they’ll want to pay people off and use NDA’s to avoid lawsuits.
PS: That big-eared empty vessel heading up the Business Suite is another ambitious, ruthless and ultimately clueless, “Rising Star”. He’ll be doing his hourly workouts in the boardroom very soon!
Is there a recording of the CFO saying those words?

@c6+1jsm3q4kp You can say that when you receive large bonuses while keeping all employees (including Catalysts) paid less than the inflation rate in their country. The executive board currently has a strong sense of entitlement. So high that they may lay off colleagues just to satisfy their ego, even if the stock price suffers as a result.
From the article: “ We are talking about a cushion of several thousand employees we can play with without having any major impact." Said the CFO! How can he be so callous, as if employees are just pieces on a game board. Who talks about people like that -laying off a few thousand more people because you consider them disposable as long as you can goose the stock price! Heartless.
