Some management Does send emails letting us know of teams and areas that was laid off. Happened to my area recently and we was notified with the # of people affected.

If you don’t think that there have been layoffs and will be further layoffs, you’re a damn fool. I’m out on Workmen’s Compensation, and my position was “dissolved.“ My attorney is loving that phrase. Especially since they’re trying to put me in another position, which will involve driving multiple hours a day. If I decide not to stay with the company or accept the position, it’s considered immediate resignation. I will lose my Workmen’s Comp. benefits, won’t receive severance, and won’t receive unemployment. Figure that out? Glad I live in California where I can get another job easily.

Interesting it usually goes that if nothing happened in your immediate area nothing is said ever. In the past I only heard something if a fellow team member was eliminated from the game.
