Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Why aren't there any posts about forming a union?

There were a lot of let's organize posts during the last layoff. Did all of those people get fired? Its obvious that everyone didn't get together and form a union since the last major layoff ended 5 months ago.

I worked in a union before, all of those jobs went away and were given to non-union people. The same would happen here.

If you clowns didn't unionize to resist the clot shot, you will never band together. Enjoy your fate. Your careers will die with a whimper.

The thing is that forming a union will not stop the company from losing money and going broke.

So unions are made of people. People can be corrupted( see wonder bread). Unions also can slow things down in a professional field(see Boieng). If you are a skilled worker get another job. Replacing a person requires training and education.

That's like asking to unionize Theranos or Enron, it's a lost cause better to be rid of. A better idea would be to gather employees who know how to build a factory and ask the mayor and governor for a loan to buy and run the factory properly instead of selling it for scrap parts. That way the town owns the means of production.

A union will never be formed. You missed your shot in the 90s.

@OP, really?? why don’t you go for it and see how that works out.

@a4, Union Workers get laid off too, so the answer would be probably not.
