Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

10 years gone

Worked for Intel from the late 90s for almost 20 years. Every once in a while I'd peruse an article here and there about Intel but gave it little thought. Today I looked to see who is still around and more importantly, who is in charge. The leadership is shocking. A gaggle of unremarkable former peers. Jim running Ohio? Good lord, that dig site is going to be paved over like Fab17 mod 4. And Hugh running AZ? Is there no one with an IQ over 70 left?

For anyone worried about a pending layoff, don't. You won't be surrounded insipid, insufferable twits forcing you to modify charts to show zero detects despite arguing statistics with arrogant middle managers. Can't image why the yields are garbage and the profit margins evaporated.

There are a lot of good people out there doing lots of great things. Join them. Don't let you skills rot nor sell your soul for free coffee and uninteresting work.

You worked for Intel for 20 years, 0 accomplishment or skills to show for it, and gripe about people who have done better than you. Thank God you are gone. You are the parasite Intel needs to continue to rid itself of.

Indeed, the leadership is shocking. The head in TD Automation has no knowledge of fab automation, nor fab operations, nor any minimum software knowledge. This guy formed a gigantic organization with 4x inefficiency and bullsh-t. Is it a joke to have a group called “People” group doing nothing? Is it a joke to have this know-nothing guy to decide TD automation system direction? In past 4 years, he is blocking advancement and destroyed the organization. It is such a sad time to see Intel is destroyed by these low-end person unqualified for the job.
