Since I 'm not with the company any longer (moved on to a better paying opportunity and no dysfunctional management), if past practices are a guide, I wouldn't be surprised that WTS got more recognition than other divisions of the company that far out produce in sales. Fascinating how Canon showers accolades on a division that poaches on accounts they never developed a relationship and when they are confronted, management always backs WTS. That's dysfunctional and unethical. Total sc-mbags.

WFH days are so much better! Office days drain the life out of me. I enjoy the peace and quiet of my home, the ability to make a fresh lunch and get away from my workstation for 45 minutes instead of being trapped like a prisoner, not having to pack up at 5:00 and battle gridlock on the roads. On office days, I have a migraine by the end of the day, and have to calm myself to get home. I feel much more energized at 5:00 on WFH days and I can actually stay awake until 11:00 at night, whereas on office days I need to lay down right after dinner. WFH leads to a better quality of life. I don’t care what βSalmonellaβ has to say about the matter.
They need to stop with the come in the office after a holiday, even if it’s a remote work day of the week. It’s petty, wildly unpopular and had little benefit. Sammy looked small, talking about that topic.
What did I miss? I wasn't really listening although I did pick up the bully comment. What did he say regarding negative comments or posts?
Several companies are moving or expanding manufacturing in the US, driven by factors like tariffs, supply chain resilience, and government incentives. Companies like Hyundai, Honda, Samsung, and LG are considering or actively moving production from Mexico to the US, with Nissan also weighing similar moves. Apple, Nvidia, and TSMC are also making significant investments in US manufacturing. Furthermore, Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, and Ford Motor Company are also investing heavily in domestic manufacturing.
Why not Canon? Sammy said Trump is being a bully. Why are so many companies moving their manufacturing to the US to avoid tariffs? Tariffs are a tool being used by Trump to get companies to manufacture in the US! It's obvious Sammy would rather use cheap labor.
So the cat is out the bag Canon is aware of these posts and how unhappy their employees are! The company meeting was a bunch of bs nothing new was learned and nobody feels better about their future at Canon. Bravo! Well done! thank you for the free lunches that were picked over 5 minutes after pickup started. This company truly can’t get the most basics of employee appreciation right! HRs response next time get here sooner. Thanks for nothing!
Anyone ever remember the scene from Rocky IV where Rocky punched Drago to the point where blood was drawn in the arena? That was the pivotal moment where Rocky was told that Drago was a man, not a machine because Rocky pierced Drago.
Guess what? Sammy showed his hand, alluding to negative comments on the Internet. So, he's reading the posts or someone is feeding him the bad news. All one can say is this: keep throwing the punches.
