New buzz phrase. Everyone suddenly figured out that layers upon layers of managers have been useless. But they all still have to figure out that just cutting the managerial class will not solve the real issues. There’s no vision yet, nor drive for innovation and groundbreaking outcomes. Until it’s no longer numbers only, nothing will change.

Having reports closer to the source will help recognize the problems. They can then be addressed quicker. Also, the layers of yes, can eliminate the cannot be done being translated into it will be done in a month.
I love the thinking that every “engineer” is the model employee of efficiency and productivity.
It’s “those” people that aren’t holding their own.
