Thread regarding Cargill layoffs

another round of layoff in next FY?

Not sure if we need another round of "cost savings" next year? but given the project compass, probably another wave in Finance team is very much likely...

Yes there is another round but they are intentionally not doing it as a wave. They think we are stupid and they wont announce anything, but they will be making reductions by area and business in their own timeline. Cost cutting objectives are not met yet.

Please wake up and smell the flowers!!

Cuts are already baked into budgets for next year. Need to cut SGA even more to hit the number promised.

If you haven’t already done so polish your resume and get ready to bail.

I am so glad I am no longer there

They arent done, they planned 2025/2026 layoffs from the beginning.

What is compass? Are we gifting top leaders a compass so they can finally clarify where exactly this company is headed apart from downhill?

My doubt is on timing - before / in between / after compass?

Do they pay well to someone just 3 year old with company? Can anyone who went thru same guide?

Very true. Confirmed someone who is with company for 25 years.

Will happen for sure and nothing has stopped, every day people get laid off. Just heard from someone who was 30 years in the company and planned for retirement in 3 years. He was informed by his manager last Thursday. Every department will be impacted and even site closures / divestitures will happen in the next 12/24 months. It was all part of the timeline from the beginning.

The layoffs will continue until morale improves.

But seriously, targeted layoffs are not going to stop until it gets pushed too far and there's not enough people to run things. That's how these big re-orgs happen. Only then will the pendulum start swinging back the other direction.
