Amazed Intel survived this long. All techs on shifts did 45mins work and watched Netflix for the other 11 hrs while getting morbidly obese.

In Asia every minute is accounted for. Every minute of your shift.

Couple of things: if you didn’t see this coming when LBT was appointed, then it’s not clear to me that you should actually be employed. Secondly, you should’ve been applying to other jobs since August last year no matter who you are within the company and should certainly start now with haste. Finally, this isn’t about what people are saying. They will not focus on middle managers instead of engs just like they never have before. They’ll pick a few people from each group and get rid of them and the managers will stay. LBT is not an engineer and he is not some technological savant that’s going to save Intel. He’s the guy that’s going to end the company finally so that PE vultures can come along and take the rest of the value.

Let’s face it. US employees are sc--wed. We’ll probably see greater than 20% USA headcount reduction due to higher cost per employee. Life su-ks for us.

F-c king ShitTel is wasting millions of dollars just hiring old id--t guys to just lay off people without making any good stable product. When can we see a real true female young CEO to save this ShitTel?

I left in October in the voluntary cycle. Went through a lot of layoffs in my 25 years at Intel. Ran many of them as HR.y advice is take some deep breaths and then write out a plan of action for yourself. One to keep your job at Intel and one to get a job outside of Intel. If you want to stay I would recommend you sending your resume to your boss so they absolutely know your background….do not take for granted they know you. They will be rating your skills so ensure they are up to speed on yours. Also tell your manager you want to stay at Intel and you can take on more scope if needed. Be the team player…..it helps. Good luck everyone!

@a6+1jsg3m9y2 Sadly, Sweater Boy Judas (SBJ) is part of LBT's inner circle, and likely his right hand man. They served on another tech company Board for several years (with LBT being chairman)... so they are buddy buddy. SBJ is good at swinging that axe though (or knifing someone in the back)... so these cuts will be right up his alley. It's unlikely he'll kn--e his followers... but then again, we can ask Pastor Pat how much he trusts SBJ.

Hope they get rid of the rampant pieces of $hit in the upper echelons - Sr VP, VP, "IT CTO", Paper pushing Fellows, Sr Paper Architect AKA Sr PE, Senior $hit load AKA PE, blah blah blah

More CHIPS Act taxpayer money wasted on American layoffs. The H1B migrants should be the first to go. Pack them and their families to El Salvador. H1B is a temporary visa, American families should not have to suffer from the failure of migrants Indians.

We already reduced our headcount from 150k to 97k. We might as well just close the company down instead of laying off 20k every year.

Another torpedo in the side of the Intel supertanker. 60k employees by the end of 2026 is still my prediction.

But they won’t lay-off a single H1B. H1B empire building will continue.

Hope finance management takes the biggest hit. All are a bunch of lifers who circlej--keach other on the weekends playing musical chairs to keep contributing nothing while claiming credit for their teams actual work.
