Fwiw, 2 h1bs let go from my group last round. More blood shed incoming this time with lbt at the helm! Watch your six, stay frosty my friends !
Hopefully they close all the Oregon sites. Now that would be awesome.
It seems Intel is going bankruptcy soon, using the last straw to survive a couple of more quarters.
Again, the ratio of weeds will go up more in the land. Each layoff and re-org will take a long time to recover. Intel will go further down.
I told you so …. Intel plans to cut over 20% of its workforce, potentially announcing the plans this week. This follows a period of significant workforce reductions, with Intel having already cut 23,000 jobs since late 2022, including 16,000 in 2024. The cuts are part of a broader strategy to achieve cost savings and improve the company's financial position
But they won’t lay off a single H1B. H1B empire building will continue.
They should close down the site with less ROI in the last 10 years. Too late.
15% yearly layoffs is the way!!
Too embarrassing to stop Ohio altogether but it will never run Intel wafers so hopefully they can offload it
Only 15%?
They're not closing Ohio
RIF the bandaid off already! 30% and done by June.
which is the best strategy for a lay-off, one large layoff or breaking he layoff up over several quarters to reach the same goal
50%
