Im on salary,I work hard and put in lots of hours for free.its hrs job to save the company money and misclassifying employees is how they do it.the more people on salary the more the company saves and hr gets a big pat on the back.for the sake of start flexi time it's just not worth it.reject this trap it's a con.

40 hr week, that's 48 hrs per year free straight off the bat
Hr is the real boss.final decision on all financial risk.
I agree, putting in the hours certainly hasn't helped advancement.
i believe my contract is for 40 hours a week (i am salary). anything beyond that you are not actually obligated to do, check your contract before giving them free labor. obviously they want you to put in the time they ask for so it's bad for your bell curve rating to only do what you're hired for. i get a mediocre review every year because i do my job and two other jobs but don't do anything after 5pm nor volunteer for poorly thought out project work
It’s only a matter of time before someone contacts the Department of Labor
I assume it is legal but it is another sneaky manipulation of employees.
Is this legal?
