Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

There is a lot of talk of weak management. I believe this is true but the cycle is the sickening thing. Let me explain. I see managers, including my own, coaching their direct reports on how to play the game in an Intel that doesn’t exist any more. That is, how to status check, pressure, and manipulate the few people who do actual work and then report on their work as if it’s your own. All the while ignoring the actual needs of customers because of the habits of a time long gone—A time when there was no competition. In addition, laughable projects with nebulous goals, like Tiber, gain steam and fail with the only remarkable thing about them being how a room full of full grown adults lets them linger on for so long without pointing out how obviously pitiful the project was from inception. Intel is definitely stuck in a doom loop; a new CEO is the start of a new cycle.

I'm actually taking the initiative and plotting a chart showing who's doing the actual work over the last 5 years using server activity data. Turns out the Team leads and some new hires are the lowest performers in the group. I'll reveal this data soon
