I used to love my job. Then something shifted, and we went from being a company where meritocracy mattered and employees felt valued to one that promotes cronyism and fosters a toxic, adversarial atmosphere. How did we go from point A to point B so quickly, and without even noticing?

It’s still better than some of the other places I’ve worked, but things are definitely getting worse over time. I haven’t started looking for a new job yet, but I can see myself getting there in a year or two if this keeps up.
It’s been that way. Even before Bob left. Good ole boys club. Especially in mainframe.
