Getting laid off from Marathon Petroleum was the biggest blessing in disguise. A year later, I’m making way more money, actually enjoying my work, and not constantly stressed out. It’s crazy how much better life gets when you’re not stuck in a toxic grind. If you’re on the fence about leaving, just go. Better opportunities are out there.
