Qcom's talking up QCTJ again. You have to ask yourself, are they talking up SD?
Even 1/2 the talent at 1/3 the price, CA is still saving money. Layoff are-a-comin'...

Qs severance package is not good
Q is a sinking ship, the writing is on the wall. If you can get an offer in a better company with a sign on bonus larger than the potential severance package, just jump! Actually, severance package is not a guarantee anyMore, just check out Microsoft's latest layoffs!
Just remember, as more and more eng get laid-off or PIPed, it becomes more and more difficult to find a semi engineer position in SD. Question is, do you bail on your own asap or get axed and join the masses vying for the same position. Guess it comes down to how much you can afford to gamble. The house always holds the advantage. Choose carefully.
Train your own replacement at TJ , India or get PIPed!
Seems like the Q is shopping at Walmart for engineering talent nowadays. Used to be Nordstrom / Neiman Marcus quality engineers in the past.
Second rate engineering is good enough for Q that is trying to stay in business and losing market share to first rates companies like Apple, Samsung etc…
Second world country = second rate engineer, akin to a mid/low tier Snapdragon.

How is the RTO at Santa Clara office ? Everyone needs to badge in everyday to the office ? Is this tracked by managers ? How do you manage the traffic in Santa Clara every day to come to work ?
You Americans don't understand, we work on "-ish time."
Your schedule shows deliverable on 6/15... we read this as 6/15-ish. Generally, we strive to be no more than 6 to 8-ish weeks late. Hey, loved to stay and chat, but it's our mandatory siesta breaktime.
QCTJ—where the motto is ‘aim for management, avoid responsibility.’ Deliverables slip, accountability’s optional, but hey, the cost savings look great on paper. Truly inspiring stuff.
