Thread regarding Bose layoffs

Who agrees? Bose is the GOAT!

This company innovates like no other. They put Apple to shame with their technology. They are business leaders with the greatest strategies even better than Amazon! I am so thankful to work at such an awesome company that never laysoff their employees or sells their sites. The don’t even make people take early retirement because it is such a great place to work. Bose is winning where everyone else is losing.

Bose is in it's swan song after hiring a DEI dimwit to run it.... instead of doing the f'ing dishes.

"Coleman was a complete disaster from the start. By comparison, Maresca seemed to be a much better choice. Then he chose Hess to be his successor; another complete disaster. "

Maresca made myriad missteps. Hess was not a strong choice. But, the damage was already done by then. The Titanic had hit the iceberg and was already going down. It's simply been a succession of failures and incompetents since. Lila is just the latest to wear the "Captain's hat". She was never going to right the ship, just go down with it while the previous crew paddled away in the lifeboats. In reality Bose was a company of it's time, and that time is long gone. It's leadership were never of the minds to properly position it for long-term competitive survival.

In all fairness, Dr. Bose was not as on the ball in his later years. He chose Bob Maresca over David Wood... The lack of a competent visionary coupled with its asphyxiatingly insular culture and willful detachment from its own competitive space drove its demise. Add to that a succession of "leaders" with plenty of fancy titles but little in the way ability to merit their positions or titles, and you have the death spiral.

"What we’ve witnessed is an LBO that Dr Bose did his best to prevent."

It's really more like asset stripping. In the old days the gangsters (and modern management behaves like the mob) would be charged under RICO. Now it's business as usual

It was no paradise when Dr Bose was among the living.

My keen sense of sarcasm is heightened for some reason. Buy honestly can you imagine just how great the company would be if Dr Bose were still alive. Or if the initial upper management had a clue or any morals. What we’ve witnessed is an LBO that Dr Bose did his best to prevent. McKinsey and the Board members are working hard to get around that. Such a shame

I agree. You need some Skullcandy to fuel the innovation
