Thread regarding DIRECTV layoffs

Slow walking my severance

Things must be pretty bad; last day was mar 21 and I filed my GRW by the following Monday. Asked about when I could expect my severance and they said within 45 days. I'm still waiting. I'm betting they are hanging on to it for as long as they can. I bet it doesn't come in until just before the deadline.

DirecTV is a shadow of the company I knew and enjoyed working for.

Well that’s scary - I’m about to start this journey as I just got my surplus notice.

Wait until you try to move your 401(k). Took three months, tens of phone calls to HR - most were rerouted to India, even took four push inquiries from Fidelity. I think D was just playing the float.

Don't get too excited. I was laid off and took two years to get situated because of the gross incompetence.

Took 108 days to get severance. I filed the day after I was let go. They said they "lost" my paperwork and had to refile. Thankfully I no longer have to deal with those A$$holes!
