I’ve been frustrated with my job here, and with the way things are going, I expect it’ll only get worse. I’m a bit of a chicken, so I’ve been too afraid to leave on my own. The job market is rough, and I’m not someone who’s great at networking, being pushy, or crafting the perfect resume. Getting laid off would actually solve that problem for me—it’d be the push I need to finally take matters into my own hands.

You should just quit and help save a job of somebody who wants to stay.

Do what I do stay and do fu-k all
You are right. The place is getting worse and the job market isn’t going to get any better either.the company can’t afford redundancy and doesn’t wouldn’t want to pay it even if they could. All I can advise you to do is try and upskill (an evening or online course) to try make you more appealing to potential employers. It’ll take time but just remember, it’ll pay off in the long run for you.
I wish you the best of luck. Not like these other fu-kwits.

What’s HR doing? Are they job hunting too?
I’m with you my friend… good luck.
Don't be silly. 90% of the place is waiting on redundancy. It's the su-kers only starting down there I feel sorry for.
