Thread regarding Texas Instruments Inc. layoffs

TI embraces WOKE/DEI ideologies -> Go Woke, Go Broke!!

I was RIF'd last year as an approaching senior white guy following 28 years of service. I was told that my position was being eliminated -> colleagues told me a mid-age black guy took my job but they changed the title for the same role. It's a shame - TI has been a highly respected and sought after employer in the Dallas area for decades. I was proud to work there until their diversity program went full WOKE/DEI and then they forced the Covid jab on everyone in 2020, which caused me to lose all motivation for working there. My hope is those that lost their jobs for refusing the jab will sue the h3LL out of TI.

Ask yourself, why do they elevate project managers, managers, secretaries to the tech ladder? You all know the answer. So yeah TI is woke like crazy.

LOL this id--t blaming “woke/dei” for his losing motivation several years ago. Your low productivity was noticed so you were let go for someone more productive. Your laziness got you canned not your skin color. Now continue to see the world through a warped lens.

Lucky you lasted till now. If you lost motivation back in 2020, I would have let you go earlier.
Performance related, sorry and good luck.

well, I dunno, but this blurb on ti.com homepage certainly implies they are all about DEI over merit hiring:

Our commitment to corporate citizenship
100%
Human Rights Campaign's Equality 100 for our commitment to le----n, g-y, bis-xual, transgender and qu--r employee equality for the seventh year in a row.

It's probably not a DEI initiative; most likely, he costs less than your 28 years of experience. TI is trying to cut costs everywhere, even bringing in inexperienced people over retaining experienced people. Based on your personality from this post, he's probably easier to work with too. Not everything is about race.

Currently occurring in all large bureaucracies. Not specific to TI.
