Does anyone know if Cisco currently has a hiring freeze in place? If so, is it company-wide or specific to certain departments?

As always, CISCO will always have some groups that are hiring for whatever the reason - new dream project, executives, or critical backfills. Majority of the CISCO BUs need EVP approval for any hiring(even backfills) period. Translation: de facto hiring freeze across board. You have a critical need? - They(executives) gave you red badges that in general come with low quality due to the vendors CISCO worked with and the low budgets...
