Thread regarding Ricoh layoffs

This is not what "toxic workplace" mean

Let’s be real, since when did "hey, can you fix this report?" become "verbal abuse"? At Ricoh (and let’s be honest, everywhere else), managers are now expected to hand-hold through basic tasks like it’s kindergarten. If you try to actually hold someone accountable, well, congrats, you’re now the office villain.

It’s wild out here. We’ve got people crying "toxic workplace" over normal job expectations, while the few who actually work hard get stuck carrying the team. How is this sustainable? Spoiler: it’s not. But hey, at least nobody’s feelings get hurt when deadlines get missed, right?

The ones doing all the work and carrying the team are the ones getting laid off!

They maybe trying to make you quit. Cheaper for them if you do and they get rid of, in their eyes, a complainer.
