Thread regarding Blackbaud Inc. layoffs

Is anybody else just stuck in this constant panic?

I know the layoffs are done for now, but I still have this knot in my stomach like I am just waiting for the next bad thing to hit. It cannot be good for me, but here I am anyway. How are we supposed to feel safe, even for a little while, when everything around us feels shaky and unsure?

Q1 earnings 4/30. Reality is, it is what it is, this is corporate america, this is BB. Not going to get answers you want to hear because they can't and won't. I wouldn't be surprised if something else shakes down around the Q1 earnings call because I wouldn't expect those earnings to be good

Are you sure the layoffs are done for now? It could make sense that there was no company wide announcement because they plan to do more soon and don't want to announce it each time, or want to only announce it when they are done.

Apparently, you don’t understand what is happening with India. Start looking.

Honestly, just keep collecting the paycheck for as long as you can with doing the bare minimum. Stop going above and beyond, just meet the KPIs, and don't let this place take away from the actual important stuff/people in your life. When the time comes, if it comes, there isn't going to be anything you can do about it so don't let it live in your head like that.
EVERY single person I know who has left this company, whether they were laid off or left by choice, ended up better for it....EVERY single one.

I don't think there is much consolation that can be offered here. Blackbaud could pursue further staffing reductions at any scale at any time. Looking at this overall site, this is not uncommon for companies that are publicly traded or have third party investment (in this industry, see competitors such as Bonterra and Fundraise Up, which are not active here but have their share of issues with staffing, leadership churn, and so on).

The only way to avoid it is to not work for such a company, while also avoiding government jobs and early stage startups that may run out of money. Independent, mature companies are your safest bet. It's just an unfortunate aspect of life in countries like ours.

There is no permanent way around it and it will happen again, so you could utilize therapeutic resources to manage the anxiety.

I feel the same way. I hate how there has been no communication from senior leadership. I doubt layoffs are done and wish they would either announce the rest or send something out saying there isn't any more
