Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Incompetent hires & Favoritism

If you've noticed favoritism in your management, signs of incompetence, or if the organization seems to be staffed primarily with people from a specific country, visa holders, vendors, or consultants, promotions for speciality visa holders on management zones, you can report it to HR.

If HR doesn’t take action, you can report it directly to USCIS using the link below:
https://www.uscis.gov/report-fraud/uscis-tip-form

You can stay anonymous, and if you have any specific violations and proof, action will be taken.

In one Citi branch in Europe, around 50% of the staff is from one non European country, 30% natives from the country, and other 20% from the rest of the world. Total nonsense. You can guess the country, bingo.

All promotions, bonuses, salary arises, are for this gang as the support to each other top down and bottom up. It is very easy talking about the white racism towards other races. What It is not so popular IS the racism of non European ethnicities towards Europeans inside their own countries, simply because Citi tolerated a coup d'etat de one small group of MDs and directors who took the power and brought all their goons to Europe to earn easy money via promotions and bonuses, meanwhile the Europeans are doing all the hard work receiving peanuts.

I suffered this myself and as soon as I realized I started searching a new job. Going to HR It would make the same effect as becoming a changemaker (in my case to help changing culture to reduce the crazy huge amount of emails I received everyday): nothing at all.

Nothing you can do about it. Same at JPM. There for instance, you have close to zero chance of getting a job offer in quant / trading / structuring unless you are French-speaking / have a degree from a French Grand Ecole.

Most likely only HR and the Legal Dept will recommend simply leaving Citi.

Citi makes their employees' lives H3LL, employees must stick it back to Citi and throw Citi under the Fvcken Bus and to the wolves....every Regulator including USCIS !

Backstab and Fvck Over employees, and we'll Backstab and Fvck Citi Over! What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

It’s a WASTE of your time to go to HR!! Believe me they will do nothing. Even through the Ethics hotline they do nothing and then promote the person that is doing things unethical.

Allot of favoritism and they don’t care as long as the Big Dogs make their scorecard and get their bonuses. Best thing to do is leave as you are just a number and nothing more.

It is common in the department I am working now and also in other companies, I am the only one and all other are from one specific country. There is noticed favoritism here and there, I don’t think HR will help. Leaving is the best choice if can’t work through it.

Thank you for this information.

We all know HR in any Employer/Company works FOR the Employer/Company, NOT for the Employees.

HR, the Legal Dept. and Compliance Dept. exist to protect the Employer/Company at All Costs and Any Costs, Even When the Employer/Company is blatantly wrong and/or in violation of the Laws.

In fact, NEVER and do NOT even tell HR, Citi, the Legal Dept, and the Compliance Dept. about their violations and illegal activities. Doing so will only give them a heads up and make them aware that someone, maybe the Employee who reported the violations, will go to USCIS This will help the Employer/Company cover their tracks, protect and defend themselves.
