I was at Qlik for 6 years and we had lay offs On a regular basis. Thoma Bravo pays its execs on EBITDA. If EBITDA drops then they will cost cut to bring it back up. All the nonsense they spout about “family” is soon forgotten in favour of Mike Capone’s bonus.
I’ve had several ex colleagues call me today for advice about severance packages and lawyers.
All of this comes from unofficial rumors (becausethe companyhasso far been largely silent on the topic), but the layoffs appear to be centered on the Customer "Success" Organization. I heard the target was 5%. From what I've heard, it seems the Consulting organization took about a 10% hit, with other organizations suffering fewer layoffs. The layoffs also appear to be skewed toward older employees.
