Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Further down the drain

Folks who are rated 1 or 2, and are working from office, but not a "VCF core office", and are not willing to relocate to a "VCF core office" will be let go soon (May-June). This headcount will be used to save those who were rated 3 and were actually on the performance based layoffs short list. This is for VCF under Krisp rat.
So, slackers get some more time to mooch off others' hard work, and fun times ahead for broadcom customers and shareholders.

More than 100 spies of the country we cannot mention are working in Meta, including their chief of AI policy. Most AI departments and Cyber Security companies are filled with spies of a certain country. This is the sad state of affairs. The whole AI bubble and cyber security bubble will be burst soon.

Henry Samueli started Broadcom in his garage with his PhD student with just 5000 dollars each. Then gave a bunch of stocks to a lot of people. He just sold 500 million to donate to charities of the country we are not allowed to mention. Henry is also from the same people from the country we are not allowed to mention. Just like Dell.

WAKE UP, PEOPLE! Swiss cheese holes aren't natural—they're SURVEILLANCE VOIDS where micro-cameras monitor your every bite! The stretchy mozzarella? Experimental elastomers developed in underground Alpine laboratories!

Those cheese wheels "aging" in caves? Massive organic hard drives encoding consumer data! Your Blue cheese is BLUE because it uses Bluetooth technology!

The lactose intolerant aren't "allergic"—they're the resistance! Their bodies naturally reject the mind-control proteins in modern dairy.

Remember: Whenever someone offers you a cheese plate, ask yourself: "Who stands to benefit from my consumption?" Gouda is watching. The Curd Collective knows all.

Copilot made those fact up. Anyway it is impossible to know who owns what.

Dell is just a puppet. All his money will go to Dell JCC.

Like Bill Gates and Buffett money went to Bill and Melinda gates foundation. From there to sponsor the senate and congress.

Enjoy your servitude. That is one way to live your life. Ignorant and blissful.

Again, all incorrect fake-facts and made-up percentages. 0% retail, lol. Where do you get this junk and who do you expect to believe if when you can look it up in 5 seconds across 10 sources? Here are are TRUE facts as found on the actual SEC site on AVGO holding spreads FYI:

Institutional Ownership:
Vanguard Group: The largest shareholder, owning 10.03% of the company.
BlackRock: A major holder, with 7.63% of the company.
Capital World Investors: Another significant institutional investor, holding 4.53%.
Capital International Investors: Holding 4.04% of the company.
State Street Corporation: A major institutional investor, with 3.95%.
Geode Capital Management: Holding 2.12% of the company.

Other Ownership:
Insiders: Broadcom insiders own 2.04% of the stock.

Public Individual Investors: This category holds 47.67% of the outstanding shares.

Now you know something not phony. I'm in the 48% of normal joe's who own the stock.

Public corporation. Board of Directors are supreme. They appoint a CEO. They have Corporate Governance Polices. They all have the fiduciary duty towards shareholders.

C'mon maaaan. Are you for real?

Broadcom is owned by institutional shareholders (75.65%), insiders (32.26%), and retail investors (0.00%). The largest individual shareholder is Kkr Europe II Ltd, owning 265.67M shares representing 5.65% of the company. Vanguard group is the largest institutional shareholder, holding 10.28% of AVGO

Wondering what the heck PE (Private Equity) has to do with anything at all here given AVGO is a mega cap public corporation. Why do we have to sift through 9/10 posts about "it's all gonna fall, this house of cards, that ponzi scheme, we'll all be poor or dead soon, mark my words, you'll see, next week, next quarter, I swear, I'm a prophet of doom, says me"????? Wondering how any of that actually contributes to anything here, other than self-whack-a-doo of your noodle-do? I own stock in this thing (after being laid off), so who gains if it all goes to he-l? your bitter sense of revenge?

100 days of the new administration coming up. The worst stock market performance by any administration in a 100 years. Worse than WW2. The global trade and currency system is being collapsed. Suddenly walking back. 180 degrees. U turn on the rhetoric. Only shows something fundamental is broken. The fuse is lit. It will take a couple of quarters to fully manifest. Calendar Q3 will be when this will blow up.

Yale started selling the PE investments. China is selling the PE investments to destabilize. These PE funds that have become a cancer on America are being sold now. The bond market is sc--wed probably China is selling. Interest on the loans for PE funds are going up. On the whole PE funds are fakked to put it mildly. There are many vectors to the PE funds claaastaar faaak. If they go bankrupt then the stocks of the company will be written off at zero. The company will be handed to the biggest creditors.

Hey Broadcom/Symantec/CA peoples. Can you please start a new thread and update us on what is happening in VMware? The rankings. The WFH. The RSUs. The layoffs. I got used to your useless dribble. Your silence is deafening. Or are you shocked about how this ponzi scheme is unraveling so fast? 255? When are we going to get to 200?

Just so much disinfo on this rag of a rumor board. There are like 30 businesses inside Broadcom, about a dozen of them software. One is VCF, where most of VMWare ended up, the other ESG, where carbon black went. Both of those chose the "everyone is a rank2" option so there are NO SUCH LISTS of Rank1s and 3s as stated by OP on which to base layoffs. Someone performing very poorly can be targeted for cut outside of any layoff, period. VCF will continue to have layoffs because they are still staff bloated per profit margin targets. VMW offices will continue to be closed because VMW had far too many to fund in their cr-p-profit all-are-remote spend-spend DEI-love company. That is basis of vcf layoffs, not secret rank lists.

Huawei readies new AI chip for mass shipment as China seeks Nvidia alternatives

Japanese and Europeans who pumped the Semiconductor index in the US are taking the opportunity to sell the insanely overvalued Semiconductor index in the US and take their profits home as soon as possible. This is because the dollar yen and dollar euro charts look terrible. People are selling dollar stocks and taking their euros and yen home before the dollar becomes worthless.

In the meantime the US housing market is starting to crack. Flordia, Texas, Arizona and Tennessee have already crashed. Spreading to California, Washington, Colorado. Washington DC looks like a ghost town as people have stopped trying to sell their homes. The city is being abandoned after DOGE.

oh my sweet summer child. Even in Nov'24 cycle in VCF, some people were officially rated 3 in workday. Then during RSU refreshers, unofficial ranks were assigned yet again and the RSUs were allocated accordingly so that unlike bonus cycle, at least rsus could be given as per actual performance. All directors have this list.

Funny guy is back with BS. Everyone in VCF was rated 2. They made no effort to do anything due to the mothership disruptions over the past year.

Is (Sergey Brin and Larry Page) Google Gemini using (Mikkkhel Dheel now a controlling shareholder) TPU? Then the (Zuckerburg, Sandburg) Meta Llama using TPU? But why do Meta buy Nvidia also? Aren't TPUs supposed to take a decade to design and build and put the software stack around them? How did Llama just spring up out of no where using TPUs? And open sourced it? Deepseek is using Llama open source but is Deepseek using Nvidia or TPUs? Either way its highly suspect that Deepseek got the Nvidia or TPUs.

to end customers located in China

Tariffs apply to product sold in US. That statement about product sold to end customers in China is trying to derisk the company from the ongoing slow motion train wreck of the Chinese economy and the real estate meltdown going on for half a decade now.

Definitely interesting to see what will happen to the 80% product sold to end customers in US. US has 245% tariffs. The 20% sold into China will have 145% tariffs imposed by the Chinese government. The upcoming quarterly report will be immensely enlightening.

Tariffs are not about China. It is about finding out where products are being made. Where they are being sold. Which tax havens are the profits being hidden in. Who are these people operating in the shadows and su-king out the wealth from America.

Broadcom sales went from 50% in Zhina to 32% and now to 20% because of VMware acquisition and probably the CA acquisition.

What does that tell you? The Broadcom hardware division warriors who are rooting for more layoffs in VMware are unwilling to look at their reality? You guessed it right. Broadcom hardware is hosed.

They will have to cut the hardware division in US and split the company into US and China separately to survive the tariffs. Xi went to Malaysia and the Malaysia PM just said they will do whatever it takes to fight US tariffs. So, the 60% Asia revenues will have some disruptions to put it mildly. The whole South Asia will go with Zhina?
