Anyone telling you otherwise are a fool who probably suck at their job. Plenty of jobs out there still to those deserving of one!!

As a middle-aged guy with many years of "Citrix" experience on my resume who got a lucrative offer elsewhere, I gotta say some of you are completely off-track here.
Age should not be a factor, especially for leadership and the more highly technical roles.
Depends on your age too. It's harder for middle aged guys.
I've had recruiters ask me probing questions about why I didn't leave before, and other related topics. This is really frustrating to me because I didn't lead any product development of the failed Citrix Workspace cloud project. Regardless, I have to explain why I had no role is the flawed product launch to suspicious hiring managers at our competitors.
I agree with this assessment, based on my own experience so far. Demand for qualified candidates with current skills and experience is stronger than ever in the tech sector.
That said, having Citrix on your CV is no longer an asset. The very negative media coverage about the collapse of the business model, and the reported large customer defections, has caused recruiters to scrutinize Citrix employee qualifications.
Depends on where you live and your particular skill set.
