Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Show of hands

How many of us truly think LBT will manage to turn Intel around? Honestly.
Or will he just slap a band aid on a gaping wound and disappear the moment his wallet feels heavier?

He already start promoting his/Walden startups ... Seems like he came to promote his other business... Don't be surprised if Intel will aquire a Walden's protco... SambaNova is the top candidate.

Don’t believe you managers lies. Look through their fake smiles and nods… they know. They knew months before who was being axed last go around but played d-mb and said are like you no clue! Lies!

Managers have already been told what is coming. We are not clueless, we just can't say.

Funny part is that all managers are pretending to be business as usual.
No clue what's about to hit April 28th.

Could new captain save the Titanic after it hit the iceberg?

Bleeding cash, no volume on Intels4/3 or 18A to even cover a small portion of the OpEx or Capex to play.

It’s and AMD or IBM moment got to dump the fab

I will give him time to implement his plan but at the current moment I'm still seeing a exorbitant amount of ineffective useless, clueless managers in meetings presenting data rollups of nothing to no one for no reason every day.

He wasn't hired to save the company. He was hired to make it look good on paper, to gain as much shareholder value as possible when it's eventually broken-up and sold.

I don't think OP actually cares one way or the other.

Former Intel employee here. Picked up 1000 Intel shares after LBT came in for p00ps and giggles to see him clean house. Liquidated INTC RSUs 7 years ago and bought NVDA.

Not optimistic of a complete turnaround, but wanted to see him "unlock shareholder value" by chopping up the fat Intel belly.

So glad I bailed. Any phat cow still milking at the trough will soon be phfu---d. Ya shoulda taken the package! But no… ya kept drinking the kool aid and got your news from Circuit. Revenue per employee metric is abysmal compared to peers. Lip Butane needs to flame thrower 20-30k heads or more. Get out while you can!

Again his mission is not to save or turn Intel around. His job is make sections appear attractive. Then chop them off and sell them
