Thread regarding US Foods layoffs

Shots fired in our Montgomery Distribution Center

Well, y'all were right about the bad security here. We had a shooting last night inside our building. It is not the first time they have had problems with g-ns here. You figured they would have this thing fixed after all of the problems. Seems they spend money to protect DF but not us. Y'all, we can't keep putting up with this sh-t. Maybe we need to unionize everywhere and then demand the right security to keep us safe. Start with taking it away from Legal. Their record shows they are stupid and lost.

I saw that and it is egregious. I have been here over 15 years and work in and out of our Rosemont office and know some of the higher level leaders and am sure they will release him. Jeff B with national accounts will eventually learn about his past and will insist on his dismissal because he knows the damage that can do to our national sales chances and retention. The man is a fraud and will be dealt with. I am very confident they will do the only thing they can at this point and finish this entire debacle and wipe the slate clean and start over on a fair way. I know one of the HR reps that were made to sneak the two in and they will be very relieved. They just wish to do things correctly but will never see their boss and what he did in the same way. Right the shop now gentlemen.

We fine. We see people done learnt about ole boy in secureity. We told y’all he was not right and the truth is setting us free. The links tells it like it T I is. Told y’all! But watch how they treat an old man that don’t look like us. We would be fired but watch him get a slap on the a-s and forgiven. Discrimination is for real.

I heard much of the same from my lead too about his meeting with the new Security VP. We live in interesting times in US Foods. After 15 plus years, this is the worst cast of leaders that I have ever seen.

This is some good news. My brother works for a huge transportation company as their head of security and our new VP called him to get recommendations on what he should do in Montgomery. I know some of you may say that proves our VP doesnt know what to do but it shows he is trying and wants to learn. I understand that we should have someone who is not learning on the job but even our president had to learn on the job in his first term so if it is good for the American people, it is good enough for me.

I'm a manager here and had the same feeling as the associates in the warehouse and our drivers about their being here. The associates trust and talk to me. We will have the right political answers when we get asked how things are going in the warehouse but I get the real feelings from our associates and we are all friends in the warehouse. Them being here was fake. I liked the general counsel who watched and listened and really showed interest. The security VP was a total dou--e. He was just going through the motions. I hunt and he looked like the deer I see in the woods. Lost but pretending to know where to walk. And fake as sh-t. As long as we can still send associates to the clinic if we think they are under the influence. Once they gave us that power we can help make it safe. Some managers don't do it because they don't want to be sued if they are wrong but I do it because the company says I can. I did see two young men jump the fence two weeks ago and they were scared off when I hollered at them and jumped over and ran off. So fences don't work I agree with the last poster. Fences, lights, security guards, g-ns, and the magnatometers are not the only answers. I worked at another company that had a great security plan and it worked inside and out. i also worked at a company that spent big bucks on security and lights and magnatometers and armed security and we had more problems there than we do here. It takes a plan that covers all of the bases and I don't think this new guy gets it but he deserves the chance to prove us wrong.

But he has to be better than where we were getting our directions from before. The one we had calling the shots out here needs to stay on the compliance job and never be in this ever again. He dropped the ball over and over and if VPOs can be fired for doing bad, he should be fired too or it will look like women have it unfair.

Yep yep. He was out here. Our manager said they going to put magameters out here like the airports. They had those at my old gig. It aint enough. They had bad security running them too and we got sh-t in and out. When they paid the right people to do the checks, the homies still got sh-t in and out cuz that just aint enough. It's gone take more than that. I had one job where they used some things and moves and security rules and nothing got in or out. Those security men knew they sh-t. This motherf----rreally think jut magameters is gone to stop what happened? We were laughing when we heard that sh-t. The lady was a law counselor or something likes that. She was cool and seemed smart. My manager called her approachble and said the security guy didn't. Our manager is straight up with us. He said he was like snob and acts like he knows all. It's aight though. I am looking for a new gig and won't have to deal with this d-mb sh-t no more.

He here! He finally got his a-s over here but he ain't sh-t. They probably came up cuz they know we called the Osha peeps. We fin to call again because they aint talking about nothing and he was looking like we was suppose to be hyped about him being some federal agent but he aint worked for transportation company or PFG or anything. He don't know sh-t and we can tell. He was walking all smug like his sh-t didn't stink. He rolled up with a lady who was nice and smiled at us and really listened and watched. We liked her but no one liked the security agent. We still in trouble here and this show ain't going to work. Y'all came up because we called OSHA and now you trying to show you give a fu-k. The only ones that did give a fu-k are the two brothers that came up when all this sh-t first happened. This agent motherf----rbeen here for over a month or more and his a-s just getting down here because we called OSHA. He ain't sh-t and we looked him up and his bio aint sh-t. Someone peeping in on and who be chasing te------t in New York aint no good here. They have better peeps in the FBI with work they did that is better than te------t if yall really wanted an agent. Y'all trippin! Y'all get an F for this fake a-s show.

Bless y'all. You figured some body from the executives would have come down to explain they care and what talk about what they are doing. The new Security Veep would have been good to be there too. I am surprised he wasn't forced to go. That would show they give a sh-t about all y'all. It wouldn't matter if they did it at this point. It's something they should have done a long time ago. if they gave a sh-t about what is happening at y'alls center. We are in Jackson and we would have demanded someone come down but if they took this long, it would be more insulting. Who ever called OSHA might get the executives off their a-s to listen to the people in y'alls center. They don't really check bags in Jackson neither so it ain't just y'all.

Y’all, I spoke to our managers here and no one has seen or talked to the new secure vice pres. We thought he would come down and help us since someone was almost shot here but we ain’t seen him. If he did come down, he didn’t change sh-t so either way, he ain’t sh-t either. If I was manager of secure ida been here first but nothing from him. We don’t matter. Same ole sh-t different day y’all. Maybe they gone leave the stupid a-s in charge of secure here.

Great idea and Yes! Workplace Violence and Safety is in their scope. If you call them, they will come out and see what is in place and how our ethic compliance mo--n handled all of the incidents that have gone down there, and then force the company to do the right things after they realize we were working with a handicap in letting Mr. Stupid compliance. handle these before. He should be fired for his stupidity!!!!

I have a question for y’all or anyone that may know. Should we call OSHA to come out to make sure this is a safe place. My wife says they can investigate and make sure that the right things are being done to protect us after we had some many things happen here in a short time and nothing was done and what they have now doesn’t really work. Do they really help with that?

This is a sad state of affairs. How is it possible that none of the ELT members thought enough to go to a place where associates could have been ki-led? How could all of you executives not care enough about lives to at least have one be there to show concern and support and yet have two or three of you go see the CEO's son to see how he is doing and help host him? This speaks volumes on your lack of leadership and empathy. I am going to start looking for a new job. As a person of faith, I cannot help reward these types of people who don't care about others, not even their own.

Nah. 2 HR managers came down, Our region Veep, a Biz Senior Director. were here for a week after it happened. I expected that because two were people of color and two were women so they gave a fu-k. An old security Director or Manager came down for a couple days to work with the security police then he was out. He didn't stay all week like the others. No executive elt managers ever came down. Come on now. Y'all know what's up. Ya aint gor to be woke to know why they don't give a fu-k about us.

I have a question for y’all. Has any executive been there to offer help and show they give a damn? It happened at my husband’s company 15 years ago and the CEO and executives in Human Resources and operations went with him and they spent time talking to the coworkers and expressing their commitment to their safety. They also bought food for a week for them all and have psychologists on site. My son just said their security Vice president spent a week out there on all shifts. He was the plant manager and said it changed the tone there because they arrived 8 hours after it happened. The CEO came back in a month to see how they were doing and bought them dinner again on all shifts. Was y’all’s the same? I read in another post that they were going to visit his son soon after this shooting which would make me sick if they did that and never came to see y’all. Yalls answer will say it all to me and associates everywhere.

Leave it to our HR to fu-k it up again. I have a sister in law who is in mathematics and data for the FBI and she specializes on making their crime data analysis. They all have different specialties. We really hired an anti- terrorism agent? Your sh-----g me? Our HR must have been enamored with the FBI name and didn’t take the time to even understand the specialities ? If they hired him to do the executive work with fligmans son, they fu---d up there too. Secret service does that and some Marshalls and state department agents. The FBi investigates and partners with other government agents to make the arrests. But depending on the crime. Anti terrorism is only watching news, terorrist groups and websites for information on te------t and any possible attack. They don’t do the real sh-t. I swear I don’t know why I work for this company when fu-ktards are the bosses in the corner offices.

I dont know who took over for the ole fool that was doing the security here but it aint no different. They arent doing security check outs of our bodys and purses right. Our manager said he heard that the ole fool running the security told everyone in a meeting that the security people here are trained because he saw some training book they use. That don't mean sh-t! Why is managers like your a-s working if there if we have work training? D-mb a-s! We can have a training but it dont be meaning people do it or that they even showed them. We kicked it with one and he said he was given that stick and told to use it but not told how. Get this d-mb a-s out of the company because his a-s is too mother fu--ing stupid to be running security. I heard he aint even been here. smh!

Thank you executives for taking security guarding and investigations away from who ever was doing it before. We are hoping that changes how they make us safe here.. you really are listening. Our managers heard from our VPo that they was blaming the leaders and us when it is his fault for not doing anything the first time it went down. He waited until the fifth time to do something. His investigation was sh-t too. My manager said she said he ain’t got no police or security experience. Why is he doing investigations and security guarding? But I am happy y’all now are trying someone new. It’s shows y’all give a damn about black lives

Yes lawd. I heard they just say it can happen no matter what they do. If that’s true, why have security at the court and airport? Also, why y’all hire so many knuckle heads in us foods and the contractors. I don’t feel comfortable working with half these mutha fu----s. What you think is going to happen when y’all hire sh-t? That’s like putting security around a jail. Sh-t still is going to go down because of the gangstas you be bringing in. When the right people are running security than the sh-t works and you don’t have 6 violent things in a half a fu--ing year. These motherf----rs running the security already giving excuses before they even do what they suppose to do. We used to have real security where I used to work. Sh-t like this didn’t go down and if it did, not 6 times in 6 months. The right security peeps help and make us comfortable. I left for a little more money and I wish I didn’t do that sh-t every day. Know this? Things are so easy to get in, many mutha fu----s in here is taking sh-t out too. Grocery bills go way down that way down though. SMH.

I was reading the other comments here and other posts and in one they be talking about how the CEO son be starting working with us and all these big players and execs be going to where he at just to spend time with him. We had peoples almost ki-led here and 2 peoples of brown skin came down and a HR lady that looked Arabic or Italian that really kicked it with us and cared. None of the others gave a sh-t. There was a man from security that was here two days before he jetted and he aint been seen since. All the others spent a week here with all of us to see what they could do and the one that suppose to be trying to secure us leaves in two mother fu--ing days? And there were no damn execs here to show they give a damn but they send many to meet up and hold the hand of a CEO's son? That is some sh-t and it shows black lives dont be mattering at US Foods. I hope Teamsters calls us and tells us how to sign up cause this sh-t needs to end now.

I am not surprised at all. I work in a DC and we had an investigation here at my DC and they did it all by phone and only spoke to a few selected associates. Needless to say, they didn't resolve anything. The worst part is they came in with a belief of what was happening and who was doing it and asked questions to try to prove their guess instead of letting the facts determine what is happening. It was the blame game all along on why it was caused by management here instead of just identifying what can be done better and fixing it. I don't even call them any more because it is pointless and they will just blame everyone except themselves. If anyone of authority is listening to this, take investigations out of the place they are managed now and hand them to HR because clearly, they don't have the slightest what to do. I read in the posts that there were violent incidents at your Montgemery DC before and they continued to happen. LAWSUIT! Let me guess if you were told what they told us. "We can't prevent them from happening. If someone wants to do it they will do it. It is the managers' fault for not resolving the bad culture that caused this". Did I guess that correctly or are those defensive losers do the same thing in Montgemery?
