Most of the smart, the good, and the hardworking have left the building.

Many have either left on their own or have been shown the door by underperforming managers.

Many of the ones left are unable to perform. They know how to play the system. The two days weekly when they do show up in the office. They spend the day socializing in the cafeteria or spend the day online in meetings.

When unable to perform their part, they sandbag the project. The project will be delayed or cancelled.

There are a small number of some good ones left, but many are hoping there is another volunteer round or to get chosen to receive a package.

OP probably found some way to milk the system and is bored.

Many remote workers hold down a second job or run a business on the side. It's sickening.

Intel and its current employees are no longer respected.

remove the bureaucracy, go innovate, or go find another company to find home. No Doubt Intel will continue to slim down and clean house of non-contributors, a return to merit and a true engineering company.

I think you’re forgetting about the large contingent of talented, under-motivated, overwhelmed, and leaderless.

Intel has made losers out of folks who weren’t previously ruined. Ok, some percentage of those are unfixable…Apple, for instance, calls it the 7 year mark where they won’t touch Intel garbage.

Impressive the degree to which Intel has been able to ruin careers. Has there been a more radioactive company to have on your resume since Enron/Arthur Andersen?
