More cuts happening today.
Dude has been consistent, honest, and very open about one thing and one thing only - loving A&M / Tulsa guys and gals and hating UT / OU guys. He says it all the time in front of his managers and reports, not shy about it one bit.

21% of Capital allocation goes to Egypt, but Egypt only contributes to 17% of production. The exploration success has been in decline, moving to water floods. Sure there is some 4% that can be cut somewhere. Where are the results of the optimization?
Which expats should be cut in Egypt? Where is the fat to be trimmed?
They should cut come expats in Egypt, they cost about 4x of a counterpart in HOU, and 20x of a local. Some work can be done in HOU remotely.
Exploration got hit too
Unfortunately, they still have a ways to go to meet their budget reduction goal. And market conditions are not getting any better.

There were 4 from IT cut during the week. At least one from planning as well. Keep in mind that there have also been one-off terminations or resignations since the RIF. The faucet continues to drip as groups “restructure” to meet the corporate goal of reducing spend.
