Additional document past severance

If you were affected in one of many WFR at TD, did you receive follow-up email or additional document to sign, days after the separation email from HR?

Was there a file by the name age-list-addendum included in the separation package? This file was supposed to list all roles affected in the RIF. Each row has a location, age and job title. You should be able to identify yourself with the three metrics. If not, the package was not complete.

Best wishes for your next adventure and may it be much better than the one you had. It's been a while since I was caught in one of their WFRs.

I still have all the emails that HR had sent out. The one that conducted the notification to terminate meeting sent me an email stating "You will receive the official documents to sign two days after your termination date." Due to some California law, TD had to pay me another 7-8 pay periods so I was basically cut off from the office, logins, etc but continued to get a paycheck for another couple of months. Early on though, I also wondered about these papers I had to sign and that's when I found out they considered my official termination date to be AFTER the additional pay periods were done.

Sure enough, official papers arrived within 48 hours of the final official termination date.

After that I signed the paperwork, then got another 2 months worth of severance pay.

PS - If unemployed and you live in CA, check out Covered California for health insurance. In my case, I was paying about $60 a month for Aetna compared to doing COBRA @ whatever hundreds of dollars a month that would've been.

Hope that helps!

Six months you say and next gig soon after. Happy for you. Did you negotiate and got more than usual for any reason?
For those with regular life and usual complaints - TDC had acknowledged a mistake and promised to contact everyone affected with updated version of the document(s). Not everyone visit this site, so there is no guarantee that a second person will comment. Then, some do come here often.
There are few affected by the mistake. Just looking for one solid 'yes' from a real person. [Not you. Yes you, the ungrateful pr!ck, definitely not you]

When the ungrateful pr!cks laid me off, I got six months full pay and benefits. Since I landed another job immediately, it was great to get two salaries. But there was no follow up of any kind…including from the worthless management that I had made look so good that they kept them on.
