Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Take offered position / or resign

Anyone know what type of alternate positions nurse practitioners are offered if laid off from Optum home care? Guessing pretty cr-ppy ones so that most employees won’t opt to take the position and they won’t have to pay pay severance or Workmen’s Compensation since your resignation is automatically assumed if you don’t take the position offered.

ISNP and Landmark, laying off, breathe deeply, corporate does not care about you. We know this. They never have and if you are delusional enough-to think otherwise, you are not safe. But know your nurse practitioners always have your back

Apparently if you want severance you will be forced to take a position greatly different than you prior role, not at home during the week, not in your own bed as you were, seems only fair if they hold back severance it should only be for a similar lifestyle position, and that’s likely intentional, so they don’t have to pay it, but they do what they want, you have no power here. They have ZERO loyalty to you no matter how diligent you have been. If you’re still employed, you are never safe, tell your friends.

Housecalls is one option. ISNP is struggling so not sure if they have enough positions an available. If your market has FPM then they’ll likely incorporate the NP’s into that program.
